Arguably the best of Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Chronicle Theatre series, “The Boy Who Left Home…” is a macabre delight. Dragonslayer’s Peter Macnicol is vivid as the brave boy and Christopher Lee is perfect as the son of Vlad the Impaler. An distinct homage to Lee’s fill British Hammer Alarm films of the 50’s with the narration of another genre celebrated Vincent Tag adding to the fun. Growing up in the 80’s, I was entralled with the place perform, actors and dry humor of this sensational series. Two or three aren’t enough; lift all 26 of these priceless gems or remove the 4 disk site coming in January of 2005.
