For those who use Windows XP, this can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing Properties, selecting the Appearance tab, clicking the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Select OK.
> Speed up Windows Start Up by removing out the softwares you dont use at start-up. For those who use Windows 98, you can do this by means of going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. select the Start up tab then deselect the softwares you want to stopthrough the startup. You see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you decrease the softwares that PC needs to load.
> Defragment also helps to speed up your PC. Look for the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you provide a time for defragging. Using various software while on defrag confines the process itself.
> Prefering to install your software would be best if you usually encounter script and other minor errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. Also, be sure that you have a copy of your hardware drivers and program installers before trying to delete the contents of your hard drive Installing again your software takes at least an hour or so
> This is a very basic tip that you should regularly do: Remove any unused programs. Programs, even if you are making use of them or not, eat up space in your hard disk. If you arent making use of them, then remove them.
